This one is for all of us "less-thans" out there...

So here it goes again...I'm about to tell you how I have no time. Well, let me stop myself now and save it for another day (maybe I should just name this blog "No Time" rather than "Hola Lola"). With that said, I have no time...ugh. Still trying to find it...help!

I did find time to read this article which a friend recommended I should "immediately" read. I took her advice and immediately read it and loved every minute of it. I could go on and on with quotes from the article but I just hope everyone out there who feels like they never have time for anything will read it....here it goes:

She starts the article off with a bang saying all of us who aren't "better-than-average" homemakers are considered "less-thans". I love this! I'm a "less-than" and I'm damn good at it! She also notes a quote from a friend of hers which is "Specialization is the key to appearing competent." This is genius I tell ya! She recommends to find four things that your really good at and stick with them and people will think your "snazzy". So, what are my four things?!?!?.....hmmmm....well, I'll have to think on that a bit further (when I find time).

So much going on....so much to do....so much to tell. But, I sit here at 11:09 pm typing this blog as I take a mental break from work. I can't wait to update yall on the "whys" and "whaas" going on in our house right now....hopefully early next week. Also, the new fashion line I'm launching. Oh yea...I just busted out with that. Using the word "line" after "fashion" may be a little extreme BUT I am busting out with the sewing machine and trying to teach myself how to make some fab dresses, shorts and skirts. Why not? Well, maybe the time thing is an issue but beyond that...why not??? Think tacky floral fabric turned into a fabulous pair of shorts which in turn makes the fabric no longer tacky but brilliant! Well, at least this is my vision. I've had muchos inspiration from various sources, people, places and just decided to go with it! More on this later....hopefully...if I ever actually complete a piece.

Anyway, have to run now but not without leaving a few pics for you. I have so many great ones on my camera but haven't had a chance to upload them (Clay has hijacked our laptop). I took these pictures tonight on my phone. I just got back from a quick trip to Dallas earlier this evening. I only had time to briefly stop by my parentals on the way back but promised Lola I would bring her back some of my barbies. I couldn't find the barbies but I found so much more....

One of my fav finds was some of my old dance costumes. Lola immediately put them on and was shimmy-shim-shimmin' around the house. She LOVED it! And, this is an understatement. Perfect timing as Lola's first dance recital is coming up on May 7th. YEA! Now, I love my little guy more than life but I tell ya...this is one of many reasons as to why I love my little girl so much! All the frills, fun and more!

This is a little dress I found that my mom made for me when I was about Lo's age. It fits her perfectly! If you look close you can even see that my mom monogrammed the pocket with "Amy" in cursive. Lo will be wearing this all summer regardless of my name being on it. LOVE! My mom has said so many times that when I was Lo's age, she made all of my clothes. I would love to be able to do that and maybe I'll attempt it while I have the sewing machine out working on my "fashion line". In the meantime, my mom is in the process of making Lo and Curry some cute little outfits. I also want her to make Gainesy some shorts, pants and rompers. More on this soon I hope (MOM, get to it ASAP!).

And, the dolls! Dolls, dolls and more dolls! I found LOTS of dolls. Clay's first comment was "This is a little much don't you think?" Considering the fact that I brought 10+ dolls home, I guess this was a reasonable comment. He went on to say "It would have probably been more special for her if you would have just brought one.". I told him "Oh trust me...I didn't even BEGIN to bring all of them...there are enough left to where I could bring one back for the next 30 trips!". Anyway, despite what daddy-bear said, Lo LOVED the dolls and played dress up with them all evening. She even started naming them. So far we have Kouncy (bouncy with a K), Gelove (pronounced Gel-love) and Pipit. I'm sure she'll come up with some other great ones for the rest. Can't wait to show you the pic I took of Gaines posted up right in the middle of all these dolls. A-DORABLE!

Of course, Lo had to go to bed with ALL the dolls. She kissed them all good night and then said "Mommy, I love my dolls. Thank you so much!" and she was so sincere. It was too sweet. I bet when she comes in our room tonight at about 2:00 a.m. she'll try to haul every single one of these dolls in bed with us. Not sure if we'll all fit:)

Gots-to-go! Time to get back to work. AND, it sounds like I just heard the little man wake. One down at least three more wake-ups to go! Thankfully, I no longer need sleep and seem to function perfectly well without it these days!

Must Haves!

I feel like I really need these for the Spring....How great are they?!?!? LOVE!!! Plus, with these, I wouldn't have to get the "much needed" pedicure. Must find a similar pair that cost less than $340 which is how much these shoes are from Vena Cava! I found them through Pretty Mommy (http://www.myprettymommy.blogspot.com/) of course. She has the best eye for the best goods that fit right in my comfort zone when it comes to style. LOVE her!

I would also love for Lola to have this from Stella McCartney's Spring line:

How adorable would the little jumper look with her yellow Stella rain boots! And, yes, Lo did end up getting the rain boots. A birthday present from Mena and PawPaw. She wears them with everything daily and they are all the bit as fabulous as I would hope they would be...and more!

As for Gainsey, I must get him this little tie tank (a.k.a. wife beater....I shouldn't have said that really?!?!?!) along with these gingham shorts from Little Bean (http://www.littlebeanshop.com/). Luckily, Little Bean is on my list for a quick stop by next week while in Dallas.

I could and would also pair the tie T with Gainesy's Charlie Rocket jeans which are ADORABLE!!! I also love the Charlie Rocket plaid pants below....can't get enough plaid for this little baby. Charlie Rocket is hands down my favorite obsession for the little man right now!

Where does the time go?!?!?!?

I have no idea where all the time goes! Here I sit, over two weeks since the last blog post and I wonder...really....where in the hell does time go???? And, why do I NEVER have any time for anything?!?!?!? Can anyone answer this???

I keep searching...looking...and I mean looking hard...for time. I need it BAD!!! There is so much I want to do....i.e. read more, run more (as my New Year's resolutions state), clean (I really need a good spring cleaning), wash clothes (can't walk through our laundry room without having to first climb over a pile of dirty clothes), shop (I desperately need some new clothes and shoes), work (I never have enough time in my 10 hour days I've been putting in to get everything done), spend more quality time with the kids (they are growing up WAY too fast right in front of my eyes), hang with friends (it's been 3 weeks since I've seen anyone...what?!?!? How did that happen?!?!? I'm placing calls/texts now trying to let everyone know I'm still alive.), catch up on blogs (Not going to happen anytime soon...I so miss Simple Lovely and Pretty Mommy), listen to more music (yep, I don't even have time to listen to my favorite tunes and I would love to catch up on some new tunes too), write Thank You card for all the precious gifts Lo got for her birthday, figure out what's going on in the world (it is INSANE right now...wish I had an update but I don't), do my finances (meaning...figure out how little money we have in our bank account and how much time before I start saying "Clay, I think it's time for us to move to a 400 ft sq foot apartment in the suburbs), spend time with family (coming soon!), get a pedicure (never going to happen), get my hair done (you should see what I look like right now...I do have muchos gray hair...ugh), hell, I would love to even put on a cute outfit in the morning (no time to think about it so the same slums go on day in and day out), clean out my closets (time to put up the winter wardrobe and bust out with the Spring attire)....Oh and sleep...who has time for that right?!?!?

Ok...so this list could go on and on and on....but I'll stop now as I don't really have a whole lot of time on my hands right now....HMMMMM....IMAGINE THAT!!!! Anyway, if anyone out there can figure out how to do it all....PLEASE let me know!

It's time to try to give you a quick recap of what's going on in our world. Or, I'll at least try in this very short time frame I have. Lets start with the most crucial bit of information. I have MAJOR baby fever right now (even though I CLEARLY don't have time for three kids). I know I know...I have a baby! BUT, I want another one...now! I'm ready to add the third to our family. I've been feeling this way for a little bit (which is fairly normal when you have a 7 month old as they are so easy, fun and just flat out adorable...the PER-FECT age!) but it just kicked up another level when I found out someone very close to me is expecting. Now, more than ever, I would give anything to be pregnant. I know, I'm classifiably IN-SANE! But, think about it, if I got pregnant now, I would have someone to share the VERY miserable journey with. Can't wait to announce the mystery special pregnant person!!!

Anyway, I would do it (get pregnant) if we could afford it and if Clay wouldn't divorce me over it. He's not quite ready yet. As a matter of fact, I had a pregnancy scare a couple weeks ago and Clay's words exactly were "If you're pregnant, I'm going to divorce you!". Joking of course but then again not b/c I'm fairly certain he would want to run...and run far. I wasn't pregnant so all is good but oh to have another would be great! I just love these kiddos so much and can't imagine that this is it! With this, I do always think of something a good family friend, Reta (who I consider an aunt and my kids actually think she's an aunt), has said to me more than once when I tell her I want more...Her words exactly are"Amy, You need to stop while your ahead!"

But look...here are a few really good examples as to why I would want more....

My Gainesy...I'm so in love with this little guy. Just can't get enough!

Gainesy is sitting up on his own now! YEA!!! This has changed my life quite a bit as it gives me other options of things to do with him when I need to be doing something else. Lola also likes it. She'll sit and play with him and is really a big help when it comes to entertaining Gainesy. She LOVES her baby brother and wants to be with him all the time.

The boy LOVES to eat. He's now eating cereals, food, the whole bit....loves it all! I haven't found anything yet that he won't eat.

And now here's my Lola...my precious Lola who although is now a big 3 year old and seems to be all grown up, will ALWAYS be my baby.

Lola and her babies. These girls go with her everywhere. Her favorites are Creepy (of course), LuLu, Sunday, Jack (Jack is a girl) and Jill. Lo has pulled out all her spring/summer dresses and plays dress up with them. Dress up is her new big favorite thing! She'll pull out every single dress we have, dress the dolls and then layer herself with at least 4-5 dresses/skirts at once. And yes, it's mostly the only attire she'll wear (specifically on the weekends) so we hit the town with Lo layered in 4-5 dresses/skirts. It's actually very cute and she always gets lots of complements.

Another pic of Lo and her babies all dressed up. From left to right: Jack, Lola, Sunday, LuLu and Creepy. Where's Jill???

And, here's one of Lo posing it up in some of her layers. It looks like in this pic she only has one dress and one skirt on which is much fewer than she usually sports around.

These little guys are just amazing. I just love seeing them change and grow. Gaines, who was a very laid back infant, has become a very vocal little thing. Like his sister, he also has a tendency to over-exaggerate and take things to the extreme and can be a bit dramatic at times (have no clue who they get this from:)). The other day when Gaines was being super dramatic about something and then Lola started performing some show in the background, Clay said "Good Lord these two! We may have the next Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal on our hands!". Love it!

Anyway, I must exit now as I have a lot of work to get done after being on the road all week. But, guess what!?!?!?! I'm trying to take a full week vacation next week and am SO excited! Will head to Big D for part of the week to spend some time with family and friends, get my hair done, hopefully get some shopping done then we'll head back to Austin and we are ready to partake in all the SXSW festivities! YEA! Really P-U-M-P-E-D up about SXSW this year! Hopefully during this week off, I can find time to think about where in the world I can find more time....does that make sense?!?!?
